On December 10, 2020, an Agreement on joint activities was concluded between the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Dagestan, on the one hand, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Voronezh Region, on the other hand, and a candidate for Master of Sports of Russia, a member of the Russian national taekwondo team, Ramazanov Aliaskhab Gasanalievich, born in 1993, which was extended and is currently in force.

The subject of the agreement was the unification of the efforts of the Parties aimed at high-quality preparation of the Athlete for all-Russian and international taekwondo competitions.

The Athlete’s personal trainers are: Biyarslanov Ruslan Yusupovich (trainer 1, Republic of Dagestan) and Shlychkov Alexander Gennadievich, candidate of pedagogical sciences (trainer 2, Voronezh region).

Results of joint work:

September 23, 2021 Aliaskhab Ramazanov wins gold medal in the over 80 kg weight category, class K44 at the European Para-Taekwondo Championships in Istanbul (Turkey).

October 8, 2022 Aliaskhab Ramazanov wins gold medal in the over 75 kg category at the Summer Paralympic Games «We Are Together. Sport» in Sochi.

March 8, 2024 Aliaskhab Ramazanov won a license to participate in the Paralympic Games in Paris in the over 80 kg weight category, winning the over 80 kg weight category in the qualifying tournament in Sofia.

May 12, 2024 Aliaskhab Ramazanov becomes the European champion in para-taekwondo with musculoskeletal disorders in the weight category over 80 kg in Belgrade (Serbia).

August 31, 2024 Aliaskhab Ramazanov won a silver medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France, in the over 80 kg weight class. He competes in the K44 class, which includes athletes with one arm amputation, or loss of arm function, or no toes.

It all started back in 2013, when Aliaskhab Ramazanov, on the advice of a friend, came to the taekwondo section and began to train seriously.

The motivation and reference point was the film by director Andrey Nikishin and the President of the European Union of Para-taekwondo Alexander Shlychkov «Strong in Spirit». The documentary, addressed to a wide audience, attempts to show what a person with disabilities can do. “How can you become a fighter without arms? How did disabled athletes of the Russian para-taekwondo team become world and European champions? Why is para-taekwondo a spectacular and tough contact sport? How do para-taekwondo athletes live outside of training halls and competitions.” The heroes of the film themselves talk about this and much more.

Through the fates of the film’s heroes, the authors set the task of conveying to society many moral and social problems that exist in modern Russian society. The title of the film “Strong in Spirit” reflects the truly strong character of these people.
